Trip title: Anclote River Park - Rec/Level I – LIMIT 10 PADDLERS

Trip leader Al Tillson alberttillson12@gmail.com 813-731-3583

Description:  We’ll get away from the power boat traffic in the main channel by paddling the back channels upriver toward Tarpon Springs and/or north along the Anclote Anchorage shoreline. A leisurely paddle of about 2 hours with a shore break along the way for lunch/snacks and a quick dip. Depending upon conditions and group interest, we may do a short loop in one direction and return to the launch/take-out before paddling further in the other direction for those who want more mileage.

Location:  Anclote River Park. Park in the usual lot past the power boat launch area and the beach. Riverside launch is about 50 yards away.

Schedule:  Saturday September 5th. Meet at 9AM for a 9:30 launch

Additional information:  Restroom near the parking lot.

Difficulty:  Rec/Level 1. About 2 hours and 3 – 5 miles.

Required / suggested / restricted: Be sure to bring plenty of water, lunch/snack, sunscreen, insect repellent, and footwear that will protect you against possible oyster shells at take outs.

All boats should be at least 10 feet long and have sealed flotation and bow and stern grab loops and/or deck lines. Sit-on-tops are welcome.

See the Skills Self Assessment Chart on the web site and contact the leader with any questions. Please register (or cancel) on the web site or RSVP to the trip leader to allow notification of any changes.
