Trip Description: The plan is to paddle from the causeway west of Sail Honeymoon to the north end of the island, where we will have time to enjoy the water, practice rolls or rescues, or take a walk along the beach.
Requirements: - Kayaks must be 15’ or longer with sealed hatches and a spray skirt. - Participants must have wet exit skills. - Please bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and sun-protective clothing. - Optional: Dive mask or nose plugs for those interested in roll practice.
Time and Details: - Meet time: 8:00 AM - Launch time: 8:30 AM - Distance: 8 miles round trip - Pace: 2–3 mph
