SUNSET PADDLE ON LONG BAYOU - Rec/Level 1

Description: This is our first collaboration with WePaddle, a local paddle business run by TBSK member Tim "TJ" Grimes...and our first sunset paddle in quite a while!
Let’s relax and explore some of Pinellas County's finest preserve area. Long Bayou is a part of and connected to the Boca Ciega Bay Aquatic Preserve which features hundreds of acres of mangrove island tunnels and a beautifully protected, shallow water environment perfect for paddle sports training and tours. Expect to spot dolphins, manatees, stingrays, and fish as well as wading and shore birds. TJ looks forward to sharing this beautiful well-kept secret in the Tampa Bay paddling community with TBSK.
WePaddle is excited to offer this sunset paddle exclusively for TBSK members and their guests. No cost for TBSK members and a discounted price of $45 for anyone who needs to rent a kayak and gear.
Schedule: Sunday, May 24. Meet at 5:30PM for a 6:00 launch. We'll aim to return by 8:30PM.
Location: WePaddle headquarters, located at Seminole Lake Country Club, 6100 Augusta Boulevard in Seminole.
Difficulty: Rec/Level 1. The paddle will be 3-5 miles, so beginners (and everyone!) can relax and enjoy the scenery. We can adjust the route as needed throughout the paddle. Review TBSK's Skills Self-Assessment Chart and contact trip leaders with any questions.
