Sorry for any confusion. There is an arts and culture event in Craig Park on Saturday. We will relocate our training meetup to Sunset Beach in Tarpon Springs.
Location Notes: Sunset Beach in Tarpon Springs. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, changing facilities, outdoor beach showers, and potable water available. You can drop off your kayak at the boat ramp before parking if you want. If you do, stage your kayak off the ramp on the open beach area to right (west/gulf side) of the ramp.
Schedule: Saturday, March 14, 2026. We'll start on land at 9 a.m. Please arrive early enough to unload and get ready prior to the start and to help others. 8:30 a.m. is recommended for arrival, staging and check-in.
Additional information: Public restrooms are available.
Difficulty: All levels welcome. We will vary instruction to meet the needs of novice to advancing paddlers alike. Novices can develop the basics while more experienced paddlers can refine and practice "advanced strokes in flat water" or other skills, depending on the number of coaches.
Inclement Weather Plan: If winds are strong, we may move to an alternate sheltered location nearby.
