Caladesi Circumnavigation
Come join us for a circumnavigation of Caladesi Island. Meet at Dunedin Causeway Beach, just west of the Sail Honeymoon concession, on Wed. Feb.4, 2026 at 10:00 AM for a 10:30 AM launch. We will head out through Hurricane Pass and paddle south on the Gulf side. A high tide of 2.1' is expected at 1:49 PM. A low tide of -.4' at 7:47 AM could prevent us from doing the mangrove trail. We could check it out though. This will be a Level 2 coastal trip of 7-8 NM.
REQUIRED: minimum 15ft. Kayak with bulkheads and spray skirt, properly fitted PFD worn. Bringa a snack or lunch for a stop at the south end of the beach and plenty of water
RECOMMENDED: Sunscreen, sunhat, neoprene or dry top, closed tow shoes, extra safety equipment like bilge, paddle float, radio, tow belt etc.
