We have reserved the Long Center in Clearwater for a pool training session. The date and time might be a little out of the ordinary for our regular meetups, but that is what is available at local pools in winter time. If you can't make a weekday session, don't worry. We will either schedule one more session later, or do more rescues and rolling when coastal waters warm again soon.
Primary focus of this session is self-rescue. For some that will mean gaining comfort being capsized. Members can get checked off for a wet-exit, which is required for wearing a skirt on club events. Others will want to develop or refine their roll. Working on scrambling and other self-rescues are options too. You can enter your training interest or goals in the reservation.
Here’s a little reading from paddling.com to help you make the most of your pool time.
