TBSK Traditional New Year's Day Paddle is ON! (Weather permitting)
Join us Monday January 1, 2024 at Weedon Island for the traditional TBSK New Year's Day paddle. This is a long time TBSK tradition and typically has among the highest attendance of any paddle during the year. Come and paddle with new and old paddling friends and celebrate surviving 2023 and looking forward to the good things that 2024 will bring.
Weedon Island has limited parking near the launch so be prepared to unload at the launch then park a short distance away at the history center. We will meet at 9:30 and launch when everyone is ready, hopefully by 10:00am for a leisurely 4 mile paddle through friendly waters.
Last year we launched in fog so dense that our lead paddle (Cynthia M) was often disappearing into the mist. That was awesome! We hope for a repeat. Come and join us and celebrate the New Year on the water with your paddling friends!
Bring a sandwich and possibly a treat to share. We don't have a table reserved although we usually find an open one.
