Florida Paddling Trails Association (FPTA) Presentation
Dorsey DeMaster, President of the Florida Paddling Trails ion (FPTA).
Established in 2007 under the guidance of Florida DEP/Office of Greenways and Trails, FPTA is a statewide organization, with the primary mission of supporting and maintaining the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail (CT).
With its network of more than 100 volunteers, FPTA not only supports & maintains the CT, but we also “Connect Paddlers to Florida’s Water Trails” by providing the most comprehensive collection (11,000 miles) of documented waterway & paddle launch information found anywhere. FPTA also “connects” paddlers to a network of FPTA business members; local retailers, outfitters, and paddle sports instructors, all considered some of the industry’s best. Want to connect with a paddle club? We also connect paddlers to FPTA Paddle Club Members like the Tampa Bay Sea Kayaker (TBSK)!
Join Dorsey as she shares FPTA’s history, its mission to support Florida paddlers; current CT statistics, and what’s on the horizon for the all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization!
