BACK SIDE OF WEEDON ISLAND – LEVEL 1 PLUS
Meet Al Tillson at 10 a.m. on Sunday February 26th to launch at 10:30 from the Pinellas side of Gandy Bridge near Urban Kai.
We’ll paddle along the perimeter of the manatee exclusion zone around the power plant (and maybe see a few), then south in the bay and mangrove lagoons along the eastern edge of Weedon Island Preserve. The trip will be about 3 -4 hours and about 6-7 miles with a lunch/snack stop along the way.
Boats should be at least 14 feet long and have deck lines and/or grab loops, as well as sealed bow and stern flotation.
