Date/Time: Saturday, November 19.  Arrive by 8:30 a.m. Class will start at 9:00.

Class description: Let’s figure out how to help each other get back in or on our boats after a capsize!  Rescues are perishable skills—even if you’re familiar with them, it’s important to practice them regularly. We’ll focus on assisted rescues and using assistive tools like stirrups as needed.  This session is open to paddlers of all skill levels and sit-in or sit-on-top kayaks.

Recognizing that air and water temperatures are beginning to drop, coaches have developed a method to keep class participants "mostly dry" as we break down rescues into steps, practice those steps individually, and then put them all together.

What to bring: The usual paddling gear, plus a spray skirt, stirrup, dive mask, nose plugs. If you do not have these items we can provide them.

Cancellations: If you need to cancel, please do so on the TBSK website so that another member may take your place.
