Register here for the Recreational Level/Level 1 picnic paddle, which is open to paddlers of all skill levels and all types of kayaks. Level 2 paddlers who cannot join the more advanced paddle due to windy conditions are welcome to join this trip.
Meet at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 near the boat rental area, Fort DeSoto Park, 3500 Pinellas Bayway S. Tierra Verde. (See a map of the park here. Turn right when you reach the main park road - Anderson Blvd. - and the boat rental center will be on your right after a short distance.) Be ready to launch at 9:30.
Jill Mosteller will lead this trip. The group will paddle the backside of Shell Key, if tides and water level permit. This paddle also might drop in on the training group to watch them perform rescues.
