Trip title: Lake Tarpon, Level 2 (due to distance)

Description: Launching from A.L. Anderson Park we'll cross over to the east side and follow the mostly undeveloped shoreline down to John Chestnut Park for a break before heading back to Anderson. At Chestnut there is a nearby trail to a tower view. If motivated we may also go up Brooker Creek which is very nearby.
Location: On the west side of Lake Tarpon just off of Hwy 19 (39699 US Hwy 19 N, Tarpon Springs). County Park so $2 to park at the landing without a trailer, $5 with.
Schedule: Tuesday Apr 26th. Meet at 9:00 for a 9:30 launch. Park website
Additional information: After the paddle let's have lunch at the Tarpon Turtle (1513 Lake Tarpon Ave, Tarpon Springs). Great venue overlooking the lake and..my favorite shrimp taco's!
Difficulty: Level 2 due to distance. Anticipate a brisk pace to cover the mileage!
Required: 15 ft or longer due to speed. Of course pfd, whistle, sunscreen, extra water.
