Janice Hindson, director of Paddle Florida, will speak at our December meeting about the organization, which has been staging paddling/camping events in the Sunshine State's best rivers and coastal environments since March, 2008.
Paddle Florida staff scout trips in advance, transport gear to each overnight stop, and provide catered dinners and breakfasts. Every night features a campfire and a program about the local area. Presentations include discussions about history, ecology, or issues affecting our environment, and some nights feature musical performances.
Janice Hindson is an ACA Level 3 Coastal Kayaking instructor and has a long career in working with non-profit organizations on strategic planning.
