NAME OF EVENT: ACA L2 Skills Training for TBSK
DATE: Saturday October 27, 2018 (October 28 raindate)
DESCRIPTION: All day course teaching skills from the ACA L2 (Sea Kayak) curriculum. The primary focus will be on strokes (in the morning) and rescues (in the afternoon). The course will be taught by Steven Henkind (ACA L4 Instructor) and Jackie Whitaker (ACA L2 Instructor).
LOCATION: Lake Magdalene (Carrollwood section of Tampa). Details will be provided to registrants.
EQUIPMENT: Please bring your own kayak(s), rescue gear and other equipment. We may be able to lend a kayak, or two, if necessary.
NOTE: This course will also be run under ACA auspices/insurance. It is costing us $40 to register this course with the ACA, so that fee will be split among the participants. In addition, if you are not an ACA member, you will need to pay $5, for the day, to cover insurance. As per ACA guidelines, we can have up to 10 students in the class. Everyone will need to sign the ACA waiver, in addition to the usual TBSK paperwork.
