The forecast has cleared so the picnic is on! If you are attending the training, bring your kayak.

The October training subject is kayak camping. Terry Hobbs, a certified ACA instructor in kayak camping will be our guest instructor for October. If you are a beginner, experienced, or just curious we hope you attend this class. The class will cover seven segments:
1. Know your limits.
2. Know the capabilities of your boat.
3. Know your equipment and what is required.
4. Camping destinations.
5. How to plan your trip.
6. Packing a kayak.
7. Camping etiquette and desposial of waste.
Mary Mangiapia will aid Terry in the class and she will outline the November overnight camping trip that will dovetail to the class.
Hamburgers & vegiburgers will be provided by the club. Please bring a dish to share. All paddlers bring water, hat, sunscreen. If the weather looks iffy, check our web site (www.tbsk.club) to see whether the picnic will be cancelled. (We’ll send an email too, but we know sometimes emails can get delayed.)
